"Fly Tsokotukha" is a famous children's poem written by Kornei Chukovsky in 1923. It is one of the most beloved works in Russian children's literature, known for its rhythmic and easy-to-remember verse.

The story follows a Fly who finds a coin at the market and decides to buy a samovar to host a tea party for all the insects. Various guests arrive, including a Grasshopper, a Bee, a Butterfly, and a Mosquito. However, during the celebration, an evil Spider appears and kidnaps the Fly, planning to eat her. The frightened guests flee, leaving only the brave Mosquito, who defeats the Spider and saves the Fly. In the end, everyone rejoices and holds a feast in honor of the Fly’s rescue.

The main themes of the poem are friendship, courage, and mutual support. Through this simple but engaging story, Chukovsky teaches children the importance of bravery, self-sacrifice, and the idea that true friends will always come to the rescue in difficult times.

The tale is also filled with lively and humorous characters, making it fun and easy for even the youngest listeners to enjoy.

We invite you to celebrate the 100th anniversary of "The Fly Tsokotukha" with a special collaborative performance by the Theatre Workshop "Artist" and the Children's Creative Center "ART." Our students will perform as ladybugs, butterflies, and bees, bringing these delightful characters to life on stage.
